TGWS Co-op rules

For reference the Tubber scheme was officially set up as Tubber Group Water Scheme Co-Operative Society Limited with the Companies Register Organisation (ref ID 5501R) on 19th December 2008. This is the current arrangement and supercedes any prior organisation.

In summary, the Tubber Group Water Scheme is set up as a co-operative. There are no trustees, only members - and member has a single vote. Decisions are determined by simple majority or a quorum. A chairman would have a casting vote but no-one has been elected as such. Marie Finnerty is secretary; she is also listed as one of the special members, along with Killian Forde, Declan O'Shaughnessy, Noel O'Grady, Paddy Curran, John Farrant & John Collins (deceased)

Neither the secretary or special members have any additional authority - only additional responsibilities: the special members are responsible for day to day operations and overseeing execution of what has been agreed, but all major decisions must always put to the members.
